About NAVA
Committees

NAVA Standing Committees assist the organization in the development of priorities and programs. Each Committee meets approximately three times each year, and remains active throughout the year through meetings, teleconferences, emails, faxes, and mailings. Following are brief descriptions of the focus for each of NAVA's Standing Committees. NAVA members can become an active member of one or more committees by calling us at (703) 707-8830.

 

Member Services Committee advises the NAVA board and staff in the development and expansion of its membership base and in member outreach that will enable the Association to meet its goals and objectives.

 

Operations Committee provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information and identifies opportunities for improvement in operations and service areas within the industry.

 

Public Relations Committee members are actively involved in the development, execution and tracking of the industry’s comprehensive communications program.

 

Regulatory Affairs Committee provides a forum for the development of an industry consensus on legal and compliance issues, and assists staff in conveying the Association's position to the appropriate regulators.

 

Retirement Income Committee represents a forum to address issues, encourage product and service development, provide guidance on association policy and encourage adherence to the highest ethical standards with respect to matters relating to the income market.

 

Technology Committee's role is to identify, research, endorse and communicate technological directions for the benefit of the annuity and life insurance industry.
