SEC Links to NAVA's Consumer Education Web Site

Reston, VA-There is more information about annuities available via the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Web site. The SEC has linked the investor education and assistance section of their Web site (www.sec.gov) to the NAVA' consumer Web site, www.RetireOnYourTerms.com. Named after the tag line of NAVA's public education campaign, the ROYT Web site has become the Internet's most comprehensive site for consumer information on the benefits of annuities.

Consumers can link to the "All About Annuities" section of www.RetireOnYourTerms.com to get easy-to-understand information about fixed and variable annuities, including their fees and taxes. The Web site also includes online calculators, a user-friendly glossary and storefronts that contain information about annuity companies and their products.

"Consumers need as many resources as possible, such as the SEC and ROYT Web sites, that educate them about investments that can help meet their financial objectives, including saving for retirement," says Mark J. Mackey, president and CEO, NAVA.

Established in 1991, NAVA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing public knowledge and acceptance of annuity and variable insurance products. NAVA's mission is to promote the growth, acceptance and understanding of annuity and variable life products to retirement-focused Americans; to provide educational and informational resources to its members and the public; to protect consumers by encouraging adherence to the highest ethical standards by insurers, distributors and all other participants in the diverse industry; and to protect and advance the interests of its members.
